Fall 2011

Our homes are far from “boxes” to us, but we all get trapped in the proverbial box after living there awhile. Ever notice how your storage room keeps getting stuff put there “just for now” and you walk past it for months without noticing how bad it really is. Then one day it hits us and we dive in purging, organizing and building shelves (anyone sensing the recent conquest of MY storage room here?!).

Renovating is often a result of the same phenomenon. One day it hits you that nothing is functioning for your lifestyle, or the colours are stale, or the décor dated, and you just have to do something about it. But what? Having someone with fresh eyes and an unbiased opinion is one way outside the box thinking comes into play.

That sums up the approach Pioneer Craftsmen takes to design; we determine the requirements and the wish list, then invest time to create innovative solutions. So many areas have opportunity to improve in function and maximize space…

In this month’s feature project, the kitchen was transformed into a beautiful, but more importantly, accessible space without appearing that way since maintaining the resale value for a broad demographic was important to our Homeowners.

The rewarding part for us at Pioneer Craftsmen is to hear “I hadn’t even imagined it could be this good.” Have fun with it, and remember we are always here to help!
