The cabinets are a shaker-style maple and all counter tops are quartz.
The floor is a large UltraCeramic luxury vinyl tile that is durable, crack-resistant, and warmer underfoot than a porcelain or ceramic floor.
Our design team created a remarkable space - one that the homeowners love!
Both textured and glossy subway tiles are used for the back splash. The vertical pattern behind the stove top is edged with a linear glass mosaic tile, for a unique and stunning effect.
The new space includes a wine fridge, a double dishwasher, and a cook top set into the counter.

A double garden door has replaced an old slider.
Floor to ceiling cabinetry provides much needed storage while the built-in desk tucked in the corner provides a comfortable work space.

The renovation challenge

The homeowners were looking to keep the general imprint of their kitchen, but update and modernize it to work better for entertaining friends.They also wanted a space where they could stay digitally connected.

Empty-nesters who are successful in business, and wanted their home to reflect more of their style while improving the access to the exterior space they had previously renovated.

The Pioneer Design-Build Solution

Keeping the original footprint, we were able to convert the dinette area into a peninsula with bar stools. This opened up access to the exterior entertaining space and also provided additional counter area for prep work.With the digital connection being an important one, we were able to build in high-end and built-in appliances that are aesthetically pleasing, but also practical. We integrated in a television in the kitchen which was an important consideration for the family for entertaining.A changed slider door to the outside opened into an out-swinging terrace door directly linked to the backyard for easier flow and access to the outdoors.
